Children 18:3
Wild homeschoolers who know how to rock
Children 18:3? What’s with the name?
If you go to Matthew 18:3 and read it up it’ll all make sense.
Ahhh, so it does… who are they?
They are three rather wild looking siblings who are signed to tooth and nail records. They have one self-titled full length album out. One brother handles guitars and vocals, the other drums and their sister plays the bass and sings, talk about talent!
Yeah they do look pretty wild, is the music wild too?
The looks could probably be attributed to the fact the three of them were home-schooled, you know how wild those home-schoolers can be! As for the sound they are a punk pop act with a bit of ska and modern rock influences thrown in.
What are some of the best songs?
The opening number, “All my balloons” is awesome and the songs “Homemade valentine” and “Mock the Music” are also great but the whole album is a very tight set of songs.
I guess we all know what they were doing when they should have been studying!
Probably, especially considering very few debut acts sound as polished.
So if there’s nothing too overboard about the music and they are signed to a label, why did you pick them for the Indie spotlight?
Because they are good at what they do! Need there be any other reason? The music is also not easily obtainable for us on the Southern end of Africa and it’s so it’s worth telling people about music that deserves a listen.
Where do we find out more?
They myspace page www.myspace.com/children183 would be a good place to start especially since their personal website is still under construction.
