Haste the Day in SA in May...
Check out all the details here:

With Underoath making a visit to South Africa in September last year, all you metal fans were probably feeling pretty happy that you could see such a big band on our local stages and now there's even more reason to celebrate...
Another major Christian metal band, Haste the Day, HastetheDay2will be hitting our shores shortly...early May to be precise. All the shows, as with the Underoath tour, will also include performances by local bands such as Crossing Point, New Altum and Straatligkinders
The tour will kick off in Johannesburg at Tempos on the 8th of May and tear through to the coast ending off at Klein Libertas in Stellenbosch on the 16th. Other show dates include: Wolmer (PTA) on the 9th of May, Doors (JHB) on the 12th, Burn (DBN) on the 13th and The Assembly (CPT) on the 15th.
Whether you are a fan or not these shows are not to be missed. Over the last seven years Haste the Day have established a name for themselves worldwide touring across the USA and selling over 200,000 records stateside. With each release, from their debut album "Burning Bridges" to their last record "Pressure the Hinges", Haste the Day have refined, framed and continued to progress forward as musicians crafting their own unique sound. However, on "Dreamer", Haste the Day have crafted their most experimental and triumphant record to date.
HastetheDay3In an interview with Michael Murphy (Bass and backing vocalist in the band); he said that the band were really excited and looking forward to coming to SA and that he had never in a million years expected to have the opportunity to visit Africa and play music for us, in fact he was pretty excited to learn that people here had even heard of their music and that the organisers are expecting some sold-out shows. When he heard that big crowds were expected, he replied: "We better not suck, I guess" but then he re-assured the fans that they were practicing hard and that they won't be disappointed. His final message to the fans was: "Thank you for liking us and we are so honoured, blessed and dumb-founded that people in South Africa have even heard of our band. We can't wait to be there, we're gonna put on a heck of a show for everybody and just pull out all the stops and represent the US and Haste the Day to them. It's gonna be really fun and we want to meet every single fan we have; we'll hang out after the shows. "
